The Lives of My Father

When Didrik was ten years old, he learned why his father was so often absent: he was a spy. As an adult, Didrik uncovers a box of old videotapes and documents in the attic—traces of a life almost too extraordinary to be true. His father, Bjørn, was known as a Norwegian TV journalist, but also claims to have spent decades working as a CIA agent.

Didrik sets out to uncover what is actually true. Who was his father—and what did all those secrets do to the family?

The Lives of My Father had its international premiere at CPH:DOX and its Norwegian premiere at Kosmorama Film Festival, in 2026.
